Chris & Samantha | Old Whaling Station Wedding | Monterey Wedding Photography

Chris and Samantha’s wedding was a very memorable one for both Cheryl and I.  Earlier in the year, I got an email from Chris and Sam about how much they enjoyed my photography, asking if I was available on their wedding date.  Unfortunately I was already booked on their date, so I asked if they had any flexibility, especially because I was dying to shoot at wedding at the Old Whaling Station in Monterey!  Even though many of the other vendors had already been booked for their destination wedding, they actually (and amazingly!) changed their wedding date so that I could be their photographer!  :):) Their wedding day, August 21 was perfection!  They did a lot of the details on their own, and it was fun seeing how everything came together.  Chris and Sam live in Rhode Island so they literally packed up all their wedding details and flew them over!  Chris and his dad actually cut and sanded all the oak pieces and burned numbers into the smaller rounds for table numbers.  Sam chose to have hydrangea everywhere at the wedding as a nod to the hydrangeas that grow like weeds all over New England!  Cheryl and I got a kick out of the food they served for dinner.  Since Sam is half filipino (Cheryl and I are filipino) the guests got to eat lumpia, pansit and chicken adobo for dinner! SCORE! Congrats Chris and Sam- we were so honored to be a part of your special day!   Venue: The Old Whaling Station, Monterey Second Shooter: Cheryl Tivar Officiant: Matthew Burt Caterer: Grapes of Wrath DJ (Ceremony & Reception): Rock Bottom DJ Cake: Layers, Monterey Video: Unique Hunter Hair & Makeup: Bre Nickles Wedding Gown: Vera Wang Suits: Joseph A.
